Are you looking for funding for a special project or event? The Town of Rocky Mountain House is accepting applications for its community grant program.

Community Grant Policy 004/2018 was designed to simplify and standardize the process for non-profit, community and sporting organizations to request Town funding for special projects and events, up to $5,000 annually per event or organization. There is a total annual maximum of $30,000 available through this program.

The two-tier granting system will allow council to consider major grants (up to $5,000) twice a year: at the end of March and again at the end of September. Council will consider minor grants (up to $500) as requests are received year-round.

To have your application considered this spring, submit no later than March 31 at 4:30 p.m.

Completed applications received by March 31 will be reviewed at the regular council meeting on April 9.

Applicants will be notified of council’s decision within one week.

Is your organization eligible for funding? Read the policy to find out.

Are you ready to apply? Click here to download the application form.

Hard copies of the policy and application form are also available at the Town Office and the Christenson Sports & Wellness Centre.

Completed applications must be sent to Renee Hartling, Legislative Services Clerk, at or by mail to PO Box 1509, Rocky Mountain House, Ab, T4T 1B2.

Are you looking for just a little funding? Council will consider minor grant applications – up to $500 – as they are received throughout the year. To apply for a grant of $500 or less, simply state your request in a letter to council and include the following information:

  • Full name and address of individual or organization, including a contact person and phone number if Council requests more information;
  • Project details (date, location, description, number of people benefiting from your initiative or involved;
  • Total project cost and list of proposed revenue and expenses;
  • Who the cheque should be made payable to; and

Did you miss the March 31 deadline? There will be a second intake in September. Watch for notices or mark your calendar. The deadline to apply for fall projects is Sept. 30, 2019.
