Water Conservation
Water Conservation
It is estimated that as much as 30% of all water consumed in the home is flushed down the toilet. Based on the “CMHC Household Guide to Water Efficiency”, an average family replacing an older model toilet with a 6 litre model can achieve water savings of more than 80,000 litres per year.

Incentives
Recognizing that water conservation is everyone’s business, the Town of Rocky Mountain House will offer rebate incentives to customers replacing 13 to 20 litre per flush toilets with low flush alternatives.

To reduce water consumption, the Town of Rocky Mountain House will offer its residents an incentive to retrofit old water wasting toilets with more efficient fixtures. This program will offer a rebate up to $50 of the actual cost (material and installation) per toilet when a 13 to 20 litre toilet is retrofitted with a 6 litre toilet. Brochure

Rebate Cost

A rebate of up to $100 of the actual cost (material and installation) per toilet will be offered when a dual-flush toilet is installed. There is a maximum rebate of $200 in any year per civic address.

Qualifications

This offer applies to residential and commercial utility customers who are connected to the municipal water system. This offer also applies to property owners who have an assessed value for improvements on the town’s tax roll.
