Canyon Creek Golf & Camping

Clearwater Trading Company

Gas station, store and liquor outlet on site. Accommodates all sizes of trailers. Six fully stocked cabins (power only) that can sleep two to six people are also available. Please bring your own bedding. Camp host on site. Great fishing on the river and home to the largest ice cream cones in the west. 

Cow Lake Recreation Area

  • Registration: Kiosk. Reservations recommended (starting March 1.)
  • Amenities: Beach, security gate (open 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.), wash house with coin operated showers and laundry, water fill and sani dump ($), firewood ($), ice ($), fire pits, drinking water, picnic tables, two playgrounds, volleyball court, horseshoe pits and bean bag games. Three group sites with shelter. Boat launch fees are included in the camping rate. On-site caretaker. Cow Lake has no boating restrictions. Grandview Stage Resort, located 2 km from the campground, has cabin rentals, restaurant, gas station, gift shop, ice cream parlor, store with groceries, hunting and fishing gear and a liquor outlet.

Crimson Lake Provincial Park

  • Amenities: Beach, swimming, boating (no restrictions), volley ball courts, horse shoe pits, store, concession, amphitheatre, library, laundry, showers, picnic tables, fire pits, firewood ($), dump station and water, pay phone, drinking water, two picnic shelters (one in day use area), and two creative play areas. Golf course near by. Some amenities are not available in the winter. There are over 20km of graveled trails for biking, hiking and cross country skiing close by. Interpretive programs (children’s and evening events) are regularly scheduled during the summer months.

Wilderness Village

Clean modern showers, flush toilets, laundry facilities, potable drinking water, propane sales, pay phone and wireless internet. Crimson Lake is within walking distance. Trail rides and a petting zoo are on site (seasonal). There is cycling, hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails in the area. Pine Hills Golf Course, several fishing and boating lakes, cross-country skiing and skating are all nearby. This is your perfect holiday resort that is open year round.

  • Amenities: Upper Shunda Creek Campground is situated along Shunda Creek in the spectacular Canadian Rockies and close to the Nordegg Historic 9 hole golf course. The Campground has three loops – Loop A is suited for RV’s up to 30ft., Loop B for RV’s up to 20 ft and tenting and Creekside is suited for big rigs – any length and height. This area may also be used for group camping. There is pump water, outhouses, picnic tables, fire pits and firewood ($). Hiking trails go to the top of Baldy and Coliseum Mountains. ATV unloading and riding from the campsite is allowed with rules and regulations in place. Undeveloped ATV and mountain biking trails in the area. Call for more information.
