  • Particulars: Cheechako Cabins offers a secluded mountain retreat away from the crowds of the national parks. Open year round, our cabins are a modern version of the early miner’s cabins. These cabins are situated to provide privacy with minimal environmental impact. Each cabin is self contained with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, electric heat, wood-burning stoves, propane BBQ and private decks. Our outdoor common area has a large fire pit, picnic tables and benches for lounging around the fire or for socializing with other guests. Propane and wood are provided. Minimum two nights stay required.
    • Currently there are four cabins available for short or long term stays. We have a one bedroom unit that can sleep up to two people and a two bedroom that can accommodate up to four guests. We also have two “Honeymoon cabins,” which were built with open floor plans and are ideal for singles or a couple looking for a romantic getaway.
    • The Nordegg area boasts a wide variety of activities and some of the most beautiful scenery in the Rocky Mountains. Cheechako Cabins itself is bordered by numerous hiking and game trails as well as easy access to trails maintained for off-road enthusiasts.

  • Particulars: The lodge is a large wheelchair accessible cedar bungalow that can accommodate up to 25 people in shared accommodations. There are five bedrooms with six beds per room. Beds are comfortable twin mattresses on bunk beds. Three of the rooms have one double bed as well as five twins. A small bunk house is available for larger groups than 25 or those wanting a bit more privacy. Bring your own bedding or linens are available for a nominal fee. There are two large washrooms with 3 showers each and laundry facilities are also available. There is a small library where you can enjoy some quiet time, read our books or watch a video. Sit out on the deck and take in the incredible scenery or soak in the eight person hot tub. 
    • Meals include a hot home cooked buffet breakfast; hot lunches can be arranged as well as bagged lunches. In the evening dinner is served buffet style. Fridge space and ice is available to keep your beverages cold during your stay.
    • The main hall is a combination dining and sitting room and can also be used as meeting or presentation space. The lodge has a projector and screen as well as wireless internet, TV’s and a speaker system. 
    • COE offers year round outdoor educational programs including rock climbing and rappelling, mountaineering, caving, kayaking, skiing, ice climbing, wilderness safety and character development program. Lodge and services available for small and large groups. Camping is available (no services).

    • A wide Variety of outdoor programs are offered, including mountain biking, rock climbing, white-water canoeing, hiking, caving, and rappelling. In the winter, groups enjoy exciting adventures like ice climbing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, orienteering and survival training.
    • Summer camps are offered for 11 year olds through adults, and include wilderness camp, mountain bike camps, fly fishing, and photography camps. There is also a three week long leadership training program called S.A.L.T for those of high school age. A Family Camp and the popular “Fat Tire” mountain bike festival are held each summer as well.

    • Frontier Lodge is also open year-round as a retreat / conference centre.   • Particulars: Goldeye Center is a secluded education and retreat facility located inside the first range of the Rocky Mountains above Goldeye Lake. Comfortable accommodations and spacious facilities make this an ideal year-round facility for business retreats, youth camps, seminars, team building, workshops, weddings, family reunions, church groups, craft groups and many other organizations. We offer a variety of indoor and outdoor activities along with many spectacular sights to see in the surrounding area. Goldeye has a new high/low ropes challenge course, which include a dual zip-line and giant swing.

  • Location: Follow Hwy 11 west from Rocky Mountain House to the Crimson Lake turnoff (Hwy 752). Turn right and follow the road until you come to the camp on the left hand side of the road.
  • Particulars: Accommodations, meeting rooms and dining facilities. Activities include Rock climbing, horseback riding, wilderness skills, canoeing, swimming, orienteering, hiking, crafts, sport climbing, mountain biking, trust and initiative games, pony rides, ropes course, ice climbing wall, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and winter survival.   • Particulars: Terratima Lodge is a year round resort located on the edge of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Established in 1974, Terratima is famous for its pristine forest location, excellent food and accommodations and relaxed atmosphere.  Our main lodge, Wolfwillow Lodge, is capable of accommodating up to 30 people.  It has a fully equipped kitchen, ample dining and living room space and a meeting room. We also offer several more rustic style cabins, some with fully equipped kitchens and wood burning stoves.
    Other amenities include a great meeting hall, Goldfinch Dining Lodge, an indoor curling rink, and outdoor hot tub and sauna, and a large covered picnic shelter with BBQ's and fire pit.
  • Our guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as cross country skiing on our groomed trails, fishing on nearby Strubel Lake and Prairie creek, hiking, mountain biking, camping, curling, ice skating and snowshoeing to name a few.
