LIBRARY BOARD – 1 MEMBER

The Town of Rocky Mountain House invites applications for one (1) public member at large to sit on the Library Board. The board provides governance for the Town of Rocky Mountain House Library. Library board trustees serve three-year terms with an option to reapply. Trustees may serve for no more than three consecutive three-year terms. Interim appointments are not included in calculating length of terms. A trustee who has served three consecutive three-year terms is not eligible for re-appointment for a period of one year following the end of the third term. Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of every month, except July and August, at 7 p.m. This is a three-year appointment commencing Jan. 1, 2019. CENTRAL ALBERTA REGIONAL ASSESSMENT REVIEW BOARD

The Town of Rocky Mountain House is a municipal partner of the Central Alberta Regional Assessment Review Board. This board is administered by the City of Red Deer, and makes decisions on property assessments across Central Alberta. Ideal candidates may be retired assessors, have a legal or valuation background and are open-minded, fair and willing to contribute their time, skills and knowledge. Successful candidates will receive training from Municipal Affairs and will be remunerated for their responsibilities.
