Connect with Council

Coffee with a Councillor is an opportunity for citizens to meet with their elected officials over coffee (or tea!) at different locations throughout the year. Drop in with your questions, feedback or ideas, Councillors look forward to connecting with residents.

To appear before Council, please download the Request to Appear as a Delegation Form and return it to legislative@trmh.ca or by dropping it off at the Town Office, 5116-50 Ave.

Please note that delegation space is first-come-first served. If there are other delegations already booked for Council, you may be offered another Council meeting instead.

A Person or delegation wishing to make formal representation directly to Council at a Regular Council Meeting shall advise Town staff no later than 12:00 p.m. noon on the Wednesday before the upcoming Regular Council Meeting. The completed request form shall include the contact information of the Person wishing to appear before Council along with a brief explanation of the subject to be addressed and the specific request to be made to Council.

If you would like to have written correspondence distributed to Council or presented at a Regular Council Meeting, please send it directly to Legislative Services using the contact information below. Correspondence shall be addressed to Mayor and Council. Inclusion of correspondence on a Council agenda is subject to approval.

The Mayor of Rocky Mountain House sends greetings to citizens celebrating milestone birthdays, wedding anniversaries and special events. For more information or to request a special greeting, please visit our Special Greeting Request page.

Please notify the Town at least two weeks prior to your event so that arrangements can be made. If you would like a Town Council representative to speak at your event, please provide more advanced notice.

Public hearings are formal proceedings that follow rules set out by provincial and local legislation. The date and time of a public hearing is set by Council motion and advertised at least two weeks prior in the local newspaper and on our Public Hearings webpage.
