Town of Rocky Mountain House Municipal Elections - Notice of Advanced Vote / By-Election

NOTICE OF

ADVANCED VOTE/BY-ELECTION AND VOTER IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Town of Rocky Mountain House

Notice is hereby given that a By-election will be held for the following office:

Advanced Voting: Saturday, February 24, 2024, between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.  

Election Day: Monday, February 26, 2024, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The Voting station for both Advanced Voting days and

Election Day will be located at the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre, a wheelchair accessible facility, located at:

5332 50 Street, Will Sinclair Dr, Rocky Mountain House, AB 

In order to vote, you must produce identification for inspection. The

identification must be one or more of:

• Identification issued by a Canadian government, whether federal,

provincial or local, or an agency of that government, that contains a

photograph of the elector and their name and current address.

• Bank or credit card statement or personal cheque.

• Correspondence issued by a school, college or university.

• Government cheque or cheque stub.

• Income or property tax assessment notice.

• Insurance policy or coverage card.

• Residential lease or mortgage statement.

• Statement of government benefits (for example, employment

insurance, old-age security, social assistance, disability support or

child tax benefit).

• Utility bill (for example, telephone, public utilities commission,

television, hydro, gas or water).

• Vehicle ownership, registration or insurance certificate.

as required by section 53 of the Local Authorities Election Act.
