The Town is seeking an energetic, dynamic individual for the position of Public Works Operator II/Distribution Collection Systems Operator. The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team orientated, innovative and result-driven. This person will be part of a great team in providing maintenance to the town of Rocky Mountain House’s infrastructure including distribution collection systems, roads, traffic control, sidewalks, walking trails and cemetery, to name a few.

You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. As a key player in our team, you will have or be willing to achieve the following qualifications:

  • First Aid, CPR, Dangerous Goods and WHIMIS
  • Valid Class 3 Alberta Driver License with air endorsement 
  • Alberta Environment and Parks Level 2 in Water Distribution
  • Alberta Environment and Parks Level 2 in Water Collection
  • Alberta Environment and Parks Level 1 in Wastewater Treatment
  • Fire Extinguisher Training
  • Five (5) years of directly related experience

The Town is seeking a professional, energetic, respectful individual for the position of RCMP Clerk (Detachment Service Assistant). The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team orientated, innovative and result-driven. This person will be part of a cohesive team responsible for providing administrative and operational support services for police officers and other employees at a Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment. This position also provides front counter and telephone assistance, services and information to the general public.

You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more.   • RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance and PROS Records Advanced are both required
  • Completion of Grade 12 diploma with 2 years post secondary or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
  • Five years’ experience in an office environment, preferably law enforcement or legal.
  • Experience in data entry, email, spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills & attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain excellent public and staff relations, comprehend and adhere to RCMP core values: Accountability, Respect, Professionalism, Integrity, Honesty and Compassion.
  • Self-motivated requiring a minimum amount of supervision.
