Summer Day Camp Coordinator | Posting will remain open until a suitable candidate is found
The Town is seeking an energetic, dynamic individual for the position of Summer Day Camp Coordinator. The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team orientated, innovative and result driven. Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service by coordinating the Summer Day Camp program and other Town recreation activities and summer events. This person will be part of a great team in providing the leadership, planning, and coordination of the Town’s Summer Day Camp program in Rocky Mountain House.
You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. Living in Rocky Mountain House you can experience live arts, concerts, all sports or belong to one of the multiple community organizations. Town amenities include the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre, the Credit Union Co-op Aquatic Centre, skateboard park, ball diamonds, parks, extensive trail system and playgrounds. As a key player in our team, you will have the following qualifications:
- Experience working with children and delivering learning tasks and activities.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Teamwork and cooperation.
- Strong communication skills (oral), listening skills, ability to ask questions.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, punctual, and able to take ownership for your actions.
- Independent decision-making, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Organized, accurate and efficient in completion of duties.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills to interact with others in an effective manner.
- First Aid/CPR is required.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, e-mail, and experience with the internet.
- Canada Summer Jobs Placement age 18 to 30 years
Specific duties include:
- Planning, implementation, supervision, promotion & evaluation of the Summer Day Camps program.
- Utilize leadership and planning skills to manage the Summer Day Camp Leaders and activities.
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of campers from ages 5-12 for the Summer Day Camp program.
- Develops and fosters relationships through professional, courteous, and efficient service to parents and campers alike.
- Plan and supervise recreational activities for campers and summer events.
- Supervise campers during before and after care.
- Adhere to all Town and camp processes and procedures.
- Communicate in a professional and timely manner with parents, campers, and staff.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
This position is a full-time 40 hours per week for 13-weeks, contract position from June 2 - August 29, 2025 (Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM)

They will also assist with water/sewer/storm infrastructure, cemetery, parks, and fleet.

The Town is seeking an energetic, dynamic individual for the position of Financial Admin Clerk. The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team orientated, innovative and results-driven. This person will be part of a great team answering telephone and in-person inquires regarding utilities, property taxes, animal licensing, accounts receivable, etc. and directing calls to the appropriate person. Responsible for accurately cash receipting payments received, balance daily cash receipts and assists with preparation of the bank deposits. Responsible for accounts receivable function which includes accurately preparing invoicing batches, maintaining accounts receivable documentation, liaising with customers and other departments as needed, applying finance charges, and monitoring accounts receivable subledgers.

- Must be able to function effectively in a computerized environment with a broad base knowledge of computer applications.
- Strong communication skills.
- A valid driver's license is required.
