The Town is seeking energetic, dynamic individuals for the positions of Summer Labourer (Seasonal) for Parks and Grounds/ Roads/ Water and Sewer Maintenance. The successful candidates will be strongly devoted to public service, be team orientated, innovative and result driven. These persons will be part of a great team in providing grass maintenance, gardening, garbage clean up, playground maintenance, line painting, road maintenance, valve turning, hydrant maintenance, leak detection and other duties to help make our community look inviting and presentable. Each Summer Labourer will build experience and knowledge in a fun and rewarding work environment.

You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. Living in Rocky Mountain House you can experience live arts, concerts, all sports or belong to one of the multiple community organizations. Town amenities include the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre, the Cooperatice Aquatic Centre, skateboard park, ball diamonds, Pickleball/ Tennis courts, parks, extensive trail system and playgrounds. Your co-workers are focused on providing great public service and having fun while doing so.   

As a key player in our team you will have or be willing to achieve the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in Post Secondary, High school students will be considered if they meet the availability requirements and other qualifications. 
  • Previous maintenance experience would be an asset.
  • Must provide a Criminal Record Check and Drivers Abstract.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.

This position is for temporary seasonal work from May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026.

Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. (May be occasionally required to work outside these hours)

The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team orientated, innovative and results-driven. This person will be part of a great team in providing good public relations, quality instruction, assist in water chemistry readings, cash register and janitorial duties at the Aquatic Centre.

You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. Living in Rocky Mountain House you can experience live arts, concerts, all sports or belong to one of the multiple community organizations. Town amenities include the Rocky Regional Recreation Centre, the Co-operative Aquatic Centre, skateboard park, ball diamonds, parks, extensive trail system and playgrounds.   • 16 years of age 
  • National lifeguard
  • Swim and Life Saving Instructor an asset
  • Standard First Aid 
  • C.P.R.  and AED
  • WHMIS and OH&S training
