Housing Study
The Town of Rocky Mountain House is undertaking a comprehensive Housing Needs Assessment to examine housing needs for residents of all ages and household types. This project will help identify housing challenges, opportunities, and priorities to ensure residents have access to safe, affordable, and suitable housing options now and into the future. The findings will help guide future planning, attract investment, strengthen grant applications, and support long-term decision-making.
Long-range concept planning
Council’s Strategic Plan calls for the Town to position itself for opportunities by having studies, plans and concept designs ready to go when future calls.
Off-site Levies
Effective July 15, 2025, the Town of Rocky Mountain House will no longer charge off-site levies on new developments. These fees are traditionally collected from new developments to fund municipal infrastructure upgrades such as roads, water, and wastewater services. This decision was approved by Council following a review of economic conditions, an updated utilities master plan, feedback from the development community and careful deliberation of Council.
