Update December 18, 2024:
The Town of Rocky Mountain House received Designated Community Status under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program – Rural Renewal Stream!
The Rocky Mountain House Rural Renewal Stream Program offers eligible workers the opportunity to immigrate to Alberta as a Provincial Nominee with the formal support of the Town of Rocky Mountain House.
Please note: this designation is limited to eligible employers and businesses within the Town of Rocky Mountain House only.
What the Program does: Rocky Mountain House Rural Renewal Stream Program provides the endorsement of the Town of Rocky Mountain House to candidates applying to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, a start on the road to fast-tracked Canadian Permanent Residency. This valuable endorsement helps Employers recruit foreign nationals for jobs in Rocky Mountain House that they otherwise cannot fill with a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. At the same time, the Program connects the newcomers to community services and supports, so they not only stay in Rocky Mountain House, but thrive here.
What the Program does not do: Rocky Mountain House Rural Renewal Stream does not match foreign nationals to potential employers, recruit employees, perform job searches or take resumes, keep a bank of available jobs, provide settlement services, or otherwise advise or aid anyone to immigrate to Canada.
The Rocky Mountain House Rural Renewal Stream Program will launch on January 7, 2025.
Check back here on January 6, 2025, for full program details.
The Rural Renewal Stream supports the attraction and retention of newcomers to rural Alberta through a community-driven approach that supports local economic development needs and contributes to the growth of the community. The Rural Renewal Stream empowers rural communities to recruit and retain foreign nationals to live, work and settle in their communities.
